Jyothi Yarraji, the national record holder in the women’s 100m hurdles, staged a dramatic comeback to win gold in 12.99 seconds, her second sub-13-second run this season. In the men’s 110m hurdles, Tejas Shirse claimed gold with a season-best 13.52 seconds, just shy of his national record of 13.41s.

Abdulla Aboobacker dominated the men’s triple jump with a 16.21m leap, the only athlete to cross the 16m mark. Both the men’s and women’s 4x100m relay teams added to the tally. India’s momentum continued with six more gold medals, three silver, and one bronze on the second day. Rohit Yadav opened with a gold in the men’s javelin throw, achieving 74.42m. Annu Rani, a two-time Olympian, secured gold in the women’s javelin with 56.82m, reinforcing her status as a national record holder.

Pooja struck again in the women’s 800m, setting a championship record of 2:02.79, with Twinkle Chaudhary taking silver in 2:06.96. Krishan Kumar won the men’s 800m with a meet record of 1:48.46. Vithya Ramraj dominated the women’s 400m hurdles with 56.53 seconds, and the men’s 4x400m relay team (Santosh Kumar Tamilarasan, Vishal TK, Dharamveer Choudhary, Manu TS) sealed the 12th gold with a meet record of 3:05.58.

In the women’s long jump, Shaili Singh (6.41m) and Ancy Sojan (6.39m) secured silver and bronze, respectively. Yashas Palaksha added a silver in the men’s 400m hurdles with a personal best of 49.22 seconds.
